Narrowing the literacy divide for young Braille readers.

Braille House

For every 100 books a sighted child has access to, a blind child only has access to five. Children who are blind or have low vision deserve to have the same access to quality literature as their peers.

Braille House is a not-for-profit that aims to provide expert tuition in Braille and Moon plus books and other reading material through its extensive library.

Sheargold Foundation funding helps Braille House transcribe and produce quality children’s books in alternate formats to add to its library collection.
